What happens when you use JPG to PNG

Upload one JPG or JPEG image (max 20MB) and click convert. We process the image on our servers and output a PNG file. PNG supports lossless compression and transparency, so it is ideal for logos, graphics, and when you need to avoid JPG artifacts. Your original file is not stored and is deleted after conversion.

When JPG to PNG is the right call

When it goes sideways

• PNG is much larger than JPG: PNG uses lossless compression, so file size is often bigger. Normal for quality preservation.
• Conversion fails or times out: Keep the file under 20MB and use a valid JPG/JPEG. Try re-saving the image and upload again.
• Transparency not showing: JPG does not support transparency; we add a solid background. For existing transparency, use a format that supports it as input.
