How PNG to JPG works

Upload one PNG image (max 20MB) and click convert. We process the image on our servers and output a JPG file. JPG uses lossy compression for smaller file sizes, ideal for photos and web. If your PNG had transparency, we use a solid background. Your original file is not stored and is deleted after conversion.

When should you use PNG to JPG?

Common problems & fixes

• Transparency lost: JPG does not support transparency. We use a solid background. For transparency, keep PNG or use JPG to PNG for the reverse.
• Conversion fails or times out: Keep the file under 20MB and use a valid PNG. Try re-saving the image and upload again.
• Quality or color change: JPG uses lossy compression. For minimal loss, use high quality. Some color shift can occur in edge cases.
